Trust your mind

Sometimes, it feels like life has come to a halt or it has become too fast-paced. Other times, we may be presented with an array of options to choose from. It is then when our bewildered selves desperately seek for the right path. Science says that we procrastinate, not because we feel lazy, but the mere act of postponing comes from fear, insecurity, lack of confidence and faith in ourselves. Let us remember that we are much more than what is presented before us, be it a difficult task to do or to make a tough decision.

The human potential knows no bounds. We become aware of the same with every step we take, which lightens our load and begets a feeling of completion and the strength to move forward. We can also take inspiration from the people around us. I have a Chinese-Bangladeshi friend who had lived in Hong Kong her whole life, master basic written Bengali within a month! She continues to inspire me to this day.

Time heals all wounds and we are conditioned to get over things. This searing pain that you feel is not going to last forever. Have faith in your decisions and in your inner strength. Eventually, the hows turn to whys and you will finally feel glad to be where you are for the decision you had taken. Trust your mind, heart and gut.
